Blog Design
OSX LEOPARD SERVER 10.5 - Comes with both an internal Blog & Group support for a Wiki as well as sql, Apache, Tomcat – basically any software that can be compiled for Intel chips running Windows (in emulation), Unix or Linux as well as OSX. We also run WordPress Blogs (you are looking at WordPress) that are incredibly customizable, all through a web browser.
I’ve gotten better at setting them up and even a little customization. If anyone is interested in serious blogging or web publishing lets us know! I’d like to get other peoples opinions or suggestions.

André,
The short answer is: Blogs are mostly created and maintained by an individual, with the possibility of comments being added by others. But the blog is dominated by the postings of one person or a very small group of people. Blogs (being “web logs”) are typically time oriented, with postings being listed in reverse chronological order.
A Wiki is the collaborative development of a body of information by a community of people, all contributing as much or as little as they want. On a wiki, the organization is by topic, not by date of posting. The mother of all wikis, as you likely know, is Wikipedia, which is now a major encyclopedic resource that has evolved over time through the contributions of a huge number of people from all over the world. In fact, you will find very good, much fuller replies to your question by doing a search at
on the two words that you asked about. Wikis are prime examples of the important transformation in the web that’s being going on (from authority-dominated to true collaboration) that is loosly being called “Web 2.0″. If you want a quick, clever intro to Web 2.0, take 5 minutes to view the video at:
